      Thanks for reading Megha – I’m interested in your comment! The poem’s essentially saying, “Myself and Anxious Thought… We’re no good for each other, but wow are we faithful – We never leave each other (alone).”

      (In this sense, “faithful” of course lacks a positive connotation)

      How do you read it?

    (hehehe).. I thought it was a poem on a relationship, where there was less emphasis on “we” and more emphasis on “me”. ( if that makes sense). So then I thought that “aren’t we” faithful was a rhetorical question.
